Twelve Step Recovery Groups

There are free 12-step programs in many locations in the U.S.A.  There usually is no other requirement to attend these meetings than to have a desire to stop the addictive behavior and to respect the anonymity and confidentiality of other members.

Through listening to others with a similar problem, group members stop feel alone in their struggle and begin discovering solutions. Through sharing about each other's experiences in the addiction and in the recovery process, group members make connections with others and gain self confidence.  In addition, there are specific tasks in these programs which enhance recovery.

Phone numbers, website addresses and email addresses are provided below.

If you call, you will probably get a recording asking you to leave your first name and number, and someone will call you back anonymously. If you chose to email the organization, you most likely will get some standard information or maybe a personal response.

Below is a list of some Colorado area 12-step groups with contact info and websites.  You can also find additional information about these Colorado help groups at www.coloradoservicegroup.org/
